Dark Matter opened in 2017 in Furn el Chebbak as a guest-shop experiment, bringing the world's most talented tattoo artists to Beirut. Eight years later, in our Gemmayze location, that's still the model.
Four resident artists tattoo daily: Angel, Chris, Taya, and Friendly Monsxer, plus piercings by Demi. Around them, an ever-rotating cast of international guests passes through: traditional masters from Spain, sacred geometry specialists from Turkey, fine line illustrators from Russia and Ukraine. Brand collaborators include Jameson, Adidas, The Grand Factory, and The Lick. By appointment only. DM the artist directly to book.

How it works: book your consultation, talk through the design, get a quote, and walk out with a tattoo you actually love. Deposits via Whish (we send the request) or cash on your first visit, and they come straight off your final price.
From the Batroun mountains to the secret backroom of one of the world's top-100 clubs, Dark Matter has run live tattoo activations alongside Lebanon's biggest brands, festivals, and venues. A few of our headline collaborations below.
Dark Matter set up a full pop-up studio inside the festival grounds, branded, lit, and tattooing through the night. Headline activation backed by Pernod Ricard and framed under the Jameson partnership: walk-up flash, custom sessions for VIPs, and one of the loudest weekends our crew has ever pulled off.
One night inside Reunion, the secret backroom behind The Grand Factory, one of the world's top-100 clubs (DJ Mag). Angel and Chris ran a flash tattoo bar through the dancefloor, with whiskey on tap and a poster featuring the duo. Presented by House of Rock, hosted by Dark Matter, fueled by Jameson.
Dark Matter took over a brunch at Ivis & Oléa, dropping a live tattoo station into the middle of the room while Tiny Moon poured its Lebanese craft cider. Residents Angel, Chris, and Friendly Monster tattooed walk-ups between plates and records, with a DJ on vinyl, pool, and darts running all afternoon. A slower, warmer side of the Dark Matter activation: food, ink, and good company.
